MOUNTAIN CLIMBING ABOVE KLEK
For those who enjoy climbing, we suggest a walk up the hill above Klek where you can sense, beside the smell of sage and other herbs, a sweet smell of the past within the Smrden-grad walls. The Church of the Virgin Mary will give peace to your soul. Numerous believers gather in this church on August 15 to celebrate the Assumption Day.

FORT-OPUS FORTRESS
The Fort-Opus fortress is the pride of the town of Opuzen. It was erected by the Venetians in the 15 th century. The fortress offers a magnificent view of the Neretva River Valley.

NORIN TOWER
The Norin Tower was erected in the beginning of the 16 th century at the place where the Norin River flows into the Neretva River. It stands there as a queen. It served as the rampart to fence off the Venetian ships from entering the Valley.

ORNITHOLOGICAL COLLECTION
A well-known ornithological collection in Metković encompasses 300 bird preparations. It is the second biggest ornithological collection in Europe. The people from the Neretva River Valley will not leave as their legacy only the mementos presented in this ornithological collection, but also a unique landscape and the authentic nature.

NARONA
Narona is the proof that the ancient Romans really knew how and what to choose. From the top of the hill you can enjoy one of the most beautiful views of the Neretva River Valley. Vid, a small village not far from Metkovi ć , grew on the ruins of the ancient Narona. The inhabitants of this small village are very proud of their history. The rich excavations of remnants of the ancient Romans got worldwide attention as sensational discoveries.

STON

MEĐUGORJE

Until June 24, 1981 Međugorje was just the same as any other village of this region. In 1981 when Our Lady started appearing, the life of the parish changed. The Virgin Mary chose, not only the six people who had actually witnessed her appearance, but also the entire parish and the numerous pilgrims to be her witnesses.

STON
Ston is the town with the longest fortification in Europe. It is located close to Dubrovnik. The unspoilt nature and the urban architecture are here in perfect harmony.
